MIST is held annually at a cost of about $95 per competitor, that covers food, trophies, venue costs and general expenses. However, MIST Florida only charges a $60 registration fee per competitor in order to allow more students to compete. In addition, over 20% of our competitors apply for financial aid, resulting in reduced or free admission. And that’s where we need your help to fill the gap in funding.

MIST Florida is a nonprofit organization, but works just as hard as any other business to balance our books each year. Our annual budget is just about $36,000 per year and over the last two years we have not only remained balanced at the end of the year, but we’ve celebrated a budget surplus, all thanks to our generous donors!
