OPEN POSITIONS
Finance TeamAs a part of the finance team, you'll manage our day to day spending, accounting and budgeting. Your job is to keep us afloat and ensure we're consistently compliant with National Guidelines. Training will be provided by the MIST National Finance Committee.

Registration TeamAs part of the registration team, you will be responsible for helping students, coaches, guests, and judges register under MYMIST.

Programs TeamAs part of the programs team, you will be responsible for creating the tournament schedule, organizing speakers and workshops, and coordinating the tournament logistics.

Marketing TeamAs a part of the marketing team, you will be the voice of MIST Florida. From email campaigns and fielding general information questions to website design and social media posts, you'll be the primary social and PR contact for MIST Florida. You'll manage outreach to new schools.
You will maintain our website, keeping it updated with all the latest information while ensuring maximum aesthetic appeal. You will also be our in house graphic designer - making our flyers, infographics, social banners, etc. You will also work with the National Marketing Director to develop and maintain the MIST brand and marketing strategy. You'll work to grow our region and maintain our reputation and brand ID.

Outreach TeamAs the Outreach Chair, you will be responsible for creating a geographic map of Florida schools and teams, and selecting a region in Florida that has no current MIST presence. You will head a campaign to get students from that region to attend tournament weekend.

Volunteers TeamAs part of the volunteers team, you will be responsible for recruiting and training all volunteers before MIST weekend. During the weekend, you will manage volunteer personnel to ensure that each volunteer is doing their job.

The Competitions Team is composed of the Competitions Chair and the Category Heads. As part of this branch, you'll know the MIST Rulebook front to back and you'll be able to rattle off rules like they were your name! You will also interact directly with judges and handle disputes during MIST weekend.

As the Scorekeeper, you will be the final say on all things score related. You check, double check, and triple check all competitions ballots and ensure there are no errors in identifying the winners of competitions. You will enter score data and along with the Competitions Chair identify winners and rank competitors and overall teams. You have an eye for detail and you are meticulous.

DISCLAIMER:
Eligibility: Members of the MIST Board must be capable of sincerely performing and executing the mission of MIST as stipulated in their Commitment Pledge.
Removal: Any MIST board member in violation of the organization’s purpose or constitution may be removed from office by the following process:
a) A written request by at least three (3) members of the organization to the MIST Board Director stating the reasons for removal.
b) Notification by the Director and/or Associate Director to the officer of the request, asking the officer to be present at the next meeting prepared to speak in their own defense.
c) Immediate removal from office by the Director due to egregious misconduct, unprofessionalism or disrespect.
d) After due deliberation, the MIST Board members, minus the officer in question, will present its recommendation to a Board meeting called for this purpose. The quorum for this meeting shall be at least two-fifths (2/5) of the Board members of which a 2/3 majority vote is necessary to remove the officer.
